These concepts are all used by the committee to decide if a team makes the NCAA tournament field or not—and it's exactly how I make my projections.
Strength of Record (SOR)
SOR is one of the clearest indicators of résumé strength. It shows how impressive a team’s record actually is based on who they’ve beaten. A high SOR usually means a team belongs in the field.

Wins Above Bubble (WAB)
WAB compares a team's schedule against what the average bubble team could acheive against that same schedule. Margin of victory or any other advanced metrics hold no weight here.

Predictive Metrics
Predictive metrics like KenPom, Torvik and BPI allows for a deeper dive into a team's analytics beyond just the results. Predictive metrics are the nitty-gritty, and commonly separate teams on different seedlines.
